The message I am trying to convey is summarized at the end of the song … that there is nothing we cannot do with God on our side. He really wants to hear from us, to converse with us, to tell Him what’s really going on with us. This means you too. He loves us and wants us to know that all things are possible through Him.

My church was going through a rough time after our Bishop passed away. I observed some deep divisiveness within our church family. God put it on my heart to write an encouraging song to remind us all that we are a body in Christ, grieve together and stay connected.

I call this my testimony song because of some of my worldly deeds (doing things I had no business doing). One day in my quiet time, while feeling tired and depressed, God showed me that there is no other God and that he loves me enough to forgive my sins. As I was feeling so alone, He lovingly welcomed me back to Him. He assured me that He never left me and would never leave me.

Of all the songs on this CD, the lyrics just flowed out of me like water and took the least amount of time to write. I hope my listeners will hear God talking to them one-on-one, in a personal and encouraging tone. The hook or bridge is my praise and worship in just the repeating of the name Jesus. I often find myself just singing it over and over when I am alone and just want to thank Him for being my all in all. Just meditating on that name because it says so much and covers everything in uplifting me. Be of good cheer.
